Distributing videos to X
You can distribute your videos to your company's X account and in this way let your followers know about the content on your video website. When you have set up distribution to X, you can set up whether the tweeting should happen automatically, and you can define the wording of the tweets.
Use this distribution feature to set up your TwentyThree account to sync with X profiles and tweet native videos automatically without you having to upload your video content and specifying metadata twice. This article describes how to authenticate X as a distribution point for your videos, and later how to have your videos appear in your X feed.
Authenticating a X account
To enable distribution of videos to X click on the "Social" tab in the backend of your video website, and choose the X icon in the right sidebar. Here you can give your video website access to your X account by clicking "Connect X account" and following the directions from X. Afterwards, you can adjust the settings for the distribution point. Make sure you are logged in to your X account when doing so.
X will now ask for the permission to access your videos, and you can with a single click give the permission needed for TwentyThree to upload videos directly to X by clicking "Authorize app".
Next, you can configure options for the newly created distribution point. Determine if videos should be posted automatically or not and click "Save Connection" to finish the authentication process. The choices made here can always be edited at a later point in time.
Uploading a single video to X
After authenticating your X account with TwentyThree you are ready to publish video in both destinations. To tweet a video simply go to the backend of your TwentyThree workspace, and choose the video in question. Click the button displaying a X icon.
You can now edit your tweet as the default text is the same as your video description. This is most likely too long, and not suitable as a tweet, so make sure to adapt to your post available characters (depend on subscription). Edits you make here will only affect the video you are about to tweet.
Next, you can decide to tweet the video immediately or schedule a later time of distribution. To match your company content calendars we have made it possible to schedule tweets. Use the calendar view to find a date for your schedule and drag the handles to define time of day by the hour and minute. Note that the options you make here can be edited also after you have clicked "Schedule".
Removing videos from X
You can very easily remove the tweet after it has been posted. Simply go to the backend of TwentyThree, and choose the video in question. Press the X icon next to the video preview and then click on the delete icon next to the tweet you wish to delete. This will not only cancel the syncing of data between TwentyThree and X but fully delete the video on X as well. Note that this will not delete the same video hosted on TwentyThree or any other place the TwentyThree embedded player is shown on the web.
Can I have more than one X account connected to TwentyThree?
