How to Enable and Publish Audio Descriptions for Your Videos

What is Audio Description

Audio Description is a form of narration that provides detailed descriptions of key visual elements in a video, enhancing accessibility for people who are blind or have low vision. This narration is crucial as it helps these individuals understand on-screen actions, particularly during scenes without dialogue or significant audio cues. By enabling Audio Descriptions, you make your videos more accessible and inclusive for individuals with visual impairments.

How to enable Audio Description

To enable Audio Descriptions, begin by navigating to the Transcription section of your video. In the upper-right corner of the screen, click on the three dots and select "Enable Audio Descriptions." Once activated, a new bar will appear, allowing you to add descriptions of the video’s visual content, complete with corresponding timestamps.

After you've added the descriptions, finalize the process by clicking "Publish." Your Audio Description will then be available in the video player, ensuring that your content is more inclusive and accessible to a broader audience.
