How to Add and Sync Custom Properties in HubSpot with TwentyThree

When you first access your TwentyThree workspace, you'll find that Collector comes with several pre-created fields such as Name, Company, and Phone Number. However, you can edit or add new fields by navigating to Settings -> Collector Fields.

These fields are useful for gathering important information about your audience and can be synchronized with HubSpot. Let's walk through an example of how to create and sync a Job Title field.

Step 1: Create a New Collector Field in TwentyThree

  1. Go to Settings -> Collector Fields in your TwentyThree workspace.
  2. Click on Add a new collector field.
  3. In the Key field, enter jobtitle.
  4. In the Name field, enter your preferred name for this field, such as Job Title.
  5. Click OK to save the new field.

Step 2: Retrieve the Internal Name from HubSpot

  1. Log in to your HubSpot account.
  2. Navigate to Settings -> Properties.
  3. Use the search bar to find the Job Title property.
  4. Click on the code icon (</>) next to the Job Title property.
  5. Take note of the internal name, which should be jobtitle. This should match the Key field you entered in TwentyThree.

Step 3: Sync the Collector Field with HubSpot

  1. Go back to TwentyThree and navigate to Video Attribution -> Connect.
  2. Click on the HubSpot cogwheel icon to access HubSpot settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Custom Field section.
  4. Turn on the toggle for the Job Title field to enable synchronization.

Now that the properties are connected, the information collected in TwentyThree will also be reflected in HubSpot. Please note that it may take up to 30 minutes for the synchronization to complete.

By following these steps, you can ensure that custom fields such as Job Title are properly set up and synchronized between TwentyThree and HubSpot, streamlining your data collection and management processes.
